“Justin Drew Bieber” was born in London, Ontario in 1994. His parents never married and he was raised in Stratford, Ontario by his mother, Pattie, and his stepfather, Bruce. He later secured a recording contract with Island Records in 2008. Bieber’s debut single, “One Time”, became an international hit, peaking at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100. His debut EP, My World (2009), debuted at number six on the US Billboard 200 and went on to sell one million copies in the United States alone.
Bieber’s first full-length studio album, My World 2.0 (2010), debuted at number one in the United States and several other countries, as well as reaching top five in other international markets. The album spawned the mega hit chart-topper, “Baby”, and four other hit singles.
His second studio album, Under the Mistletoe (2011), also debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, entering the top 10 in Spain, Australia, Norway, and the Netherlands. Never Say Never, a 2011 3-D concert film directed by Jon M. Chu, grossed a total of $98,441,954 worldwide. Bieber released his third studio album, Believe, in 2012. The album garnered generally positive reviews, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200 and selling more than three million copies worldwide.
