Tributes to rock icon and legendary singer David Bowie continued to pour in, on Monday, for the 69-year old who died of cancer, after 18 months of being diagnosed. He released his most recent studio album, Blackstar, last week on his 69th birthday.

Bowie is survived by his wife, Iman, and his two children from a previous marriage, Duncan and Alexandria Zahra Jones.


David Cameron: “I grew up listening to and watching the pop genius David Bowie. He was a master of re- invention, who kept getting it right. A huge loss.”

Paul McCartney: “Very sad news to wake up to on this raining morning. David was a great star and I treasure the moments we had together. His music played a very strong part in British musical history and I’m proud to think of the huge influence he has had on people all around the world.”

Cranberries singer’s court trial over air rage incident adjourned

Dolores O'Riordan air rage assault case adjourned

Dolores O’Riordan, the lead singer of the Irish rock band The Cranberries, was held at Shannon Airport, Ireland in November 2014 after flying in from New York, United States over an alleged air rage incident. She faces four charges, including three assaults and willful obstruction. Her trial has been adjourned for three months as she is receiving medical treatment.

Known for her distinctive mezzo-alto voice, O’Riordan is 43 years old and has three children.

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars have been accused of copying Serbian singer Snezana Miskovic’s 1984 song “Ulice Mracne Nisu Za Devojke” (English: Dark Streets Are Not For Girls) for their 2014 hit single “Uptown Funk”. Miskovic, also known by her stage name Viktorija, pointed out that the song borrows heavily, almost 80 percent, from her track. She further said that she regretted the fact that people did not know that the chart-topping worldwide hit was actually plagiarized.

Kate Pierson rose to stardom with in 1978 with the dance-rock inspired hit single “Rock Lobster”.
